The University of West London (UWL) was named University of the Year for Social Inclusion in the Daily Mail University Guide 2024. It is also recognized as the best modern, non-specialist university in London according to the Complete University Guide 2024. In The Guardian University Guide 2024, UWL ranks within the top 30% of universities nationwide. The university was ranked as the number 1 London university (non-specialist) in the National Student Survey 2023. Additionally, it was named the Best University for Student Experience and Teaching Quality in the UK by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024. In the Times Good University Guide 2025, UWL ranks 57th. Furthermore, 80% of UWL's research was rated as world-leading (4) or internationally excellent (3) in the most recent Government Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment.
