Overview

Wroclaw Medical University (WMU), officially known as Uniwersytet Medyczny im. Piastów Śląskich we Wrocławiu, is a distinguished public medical institution located in Wrocław, Poland. Established in 1950, WMU has evolved into a leading center for medical education and research in the region. ​

Academic Structure and Programs

WMU comprises six faculties: Medicine, Medicine and Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, and Physiotherapy. These faculties offer a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including courses conducted in English to accommodate international students. The university also hosts a Doctoral School for advanced research training. ​

The university is affiliated with the Jan Mikulicz-Radecki University Clinical Hospital, the largest hospital in the region, providing extensive clinical training opportunities for students and serving as a hub for medical research and patient care.
