​Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPGU), established in 1872 as the Moscow Higher Women's Courses, is Russia's oldest institution dedicated to teacher education. Over its extensive history, MPGU has evolved into a leading educational and scientific center, committed to preserving traditions while incorporating innovative approaches to pedagogy. 

The university comprises 14 institutes and 3 faculties, encompassing 59 research schools and 10 research centers. This robust academic structure is supported by distinguished faculty members, including academicians and members of the Russian Academy of Education and the Russian Academy of Science. ​

MPGU offers a diverse range of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs across various disciplines, with a primary focus on pedagogy, psychology, and related fields. The Faculty of Pedagogics and Psychology, established in 1921, stands as one of the university's oldest faculties, highlighting MPGU's longstanding commitment to these areas. ​
