Lobachevsky University, officially known as Nizhny Novgorod State University (UNN), is one of Russia’s premier public research universities, founded in 1916. Named after the renowned Russian mathematician Nikolai Lobachevsky, the university is located in Nizhny Novgorod, a major industrial and cultural centre along the Volga River.
