Overview

The University of Calabria (UNICAL) is a medium-sized institution, home to approximately 25,000 students and supported by around 1,000 faculty members, including both teaching and research staff.

Comprising 14 departments, the university offers a diverse range of 80 degree programs at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, along with 10 PhD programs across various disciplines.

Recognized as one of Italy’s most dynamic universities, UNICAL provides an exceptional learning environment, fostering both academic and professional growth.

It boasts Italy’s largest and most well-equipped university campus, spanning over 200 hectares of green space in the urban area of Cosenza and Rende, located in Southern Italy.

The campus facilities include a residential center, canteens, a health center, a bank, a post office, a library, a sports complex, and a language center. Additionally, students can access two theatres (with 300 and 550 seats), two cinemas (each seating 250), two outdoor amphitheaters for events, and a day nursery.
