The University of Messina (UniME), situated in the Sicilian city of Messina, is one of Italy’s oldest universities, founded in 1548. With a rich academic heritage, UniME has long served as a key educational hub in the Mediterranean region. The university is dedicated to internationalization and expansion, fostering global partnerships through exchange programs, double-degree, and joint-degree initiatives. Through the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), students can earn credits and take exams while studying abroad.

UniME is structured into 12 departments and offers 94 degree programs, including 12 taught entirely in English. Additionally, the university provides 15 Ph.D. programs and 21 one-year vocational master's degrees.
