Overview

The University of Notre Dame, a private Catholic institution located in Fremantle, Western Australia, was founded in 1989 by Reverend David T Link. While the university upholds Catholic faith and values, it offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including sport science, economics, law, and Aboriginal studies.

In addition to its main campus in Fremantle, Notre Dame has satellite campuses in Broome and Sydney, both of which provide library facilities, student support services, and daily Mass at 12:35 PM. The university also promotes global learning through its international partnerships with institutions in North America, Asia, and Europe, allowing students to undertake study abroad programs as part of their degree.

Fremantle itself is a small but culturally diverse city with a population of around 25,000, where 38% of residents were born outside Australia. The largest overseas-born communities come from England, Italy, New Zealand, Scotland, and Portugal, making it a vibrant and multicultural place for students to live and study.
