Overview

BJUT offers academic programs across eight disciplines: engineering, sciences, economics, management, humanities, law, education, and arts. It is home to three State Key Disciplines and 39 Municipal Key Disciplines. The university provides 20 first-class doctoral programs, 33 first-class master’s programs, and 18 postdoctoral research centers. Additionally, BJUT offers professional master’s programs in 12 fields, with the Master of Engineering program spanning 17 sub-disciplines. The university also features 67 undergraduate majors, including two designated as municipal first-class majors.

Five disciplines—Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Environment and Ecology—are ranked in the top 1% of the ESI Global List. BJUT hosts two national engineering laboratories, three “111 Project” talent introduction bases, a national industry-academia-research center, an international cooperation center, and numerous key research and innovation facilities, including eight Ministry of Education laboratories and 30 Beijing Municipality research centers. Additionally, BJUT has ten international science and technology cooperation bases, three municipal social sciences research bases, four industrial key laboratories, and three collaborative innovation centers.
