Overview

Soochow University, located in the historic city of Suzhou—known as "Paradise on Earth"—is a distinguished institution in China. As part of the national "211 Project" and the "2011 Plan," it is also a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province. Established in 1900, the university has expanded to include three major campuses: the main campus, Dushu Lake Campus, and Yangcheng Lake Campus, spanning an area of 2.7 million square meters with over 1.82 million square meters of building space.

Soochow University is renowned for its robust research resources, featuring nearly 4 million books, over 30 million Chinese and foreign periodicals, more than 1.1 million e-books, and 82 multilingual databases. The university offers 26 post-doctoral programs, 24 main doctoral disciplines covering 167 specialized areas, one professional doctoral program, 47 main master's disciplines with 244 specialized areas, 21 professional master's programs, and 124 undergraduate programs.
