The University of Perugia, established in 1308, is one of Europe’s oldest universities and is situated in Italy’s Umbria Region, often referred to as the “green heart of Italy” due to its rich artistic heritage, music culture, and stunning natural landscapes. Currently, the university is structured into 16 departments and several centers of excellence, accommodating approximately 24,000 students, 1,100 faculty members, and 1,100 administrative staff.

The QS World University Rankings 2025 places it in the 801–850 range, while the U.S. News Best Global Universities ranks it at 527 worldwide, highlighting its strong academic indicators.
