Overview

Rensselaer is recognized as one of the world’s leading technological research universities. Established in 1824, the Institute’s mission was to teach students "the application of science to the common purposes of life." With campuses in Troy, N.Y., and Hartford, Conn., as well as global locations, Rensselaer’s influence is evident in the way people live, work, and play.
