Edith Cowan University (ECU) is the youngest university in Western Australia and ranks among the world’s top young universities, being under 50 years old. For an impressive 14 consecutive years, ECU has received a 5-star rating from graduates for teaching quality, as reported in the Good Universities Guide.

ECU is also unique as the only Australian university named after a woman. Edith Cowan (OBE), a pioneering figure in Australian education and politics, was the first woman elected to the Australian Parliament. Her efforts significantly improved access to education for many. ECU currently enrolls over 31,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a highly diverse student body that includes around 7,000 international students from more than 100 countries.
