Established in 1966, JKU has quickly emerged as a leading institution in science, academia, business, and community engagement. The Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics, and Business (SOWI) designs its degree programs to meet both national and international standards, playing a significant role in addressing complex social and business challenges. The Faculty of Law (RE) is renowned for its expertise in public, private, and international business law, focusing on transnational legal cooperation. JKU is the only university in Austria to offer a multimedia Diploma program in Law. The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (TN) fosters strong connections with local and international businesses, leading to numerous collaborative benefits for both faculty and students. The Faculty of Medicine (MED), established in 2014, is the newest addition to JKU and offers a degree in Human Medicine.
