The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) was founded in 1958 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Beijing with the aim of nurturing the country’s brightest scientific and technological talent. In 1970, USTC relocated to Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, where it continues to foster innovation and research. Today, USTC boasts a vibrant academic community with 16,600 students and 2,250 faculty members.
