The university's Mining and Mineral Engineering subject ranks 14th in the world according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, while other subjects such as Sports-related disciplines, Geophysics, Geology, Classics and Ancient History, Geography, Archaeology, Environmental Sciences, Earth and Marine Sciences, and English Language and Literature all feature in the top 50.
