Overview

The Chasing Dreams Scholarship honors international students of Chinese nationality. Nearly 40% of all foreign students attending U.S. universities come from China, making it the United States’ foremost partner in multicultural education exchange. It aims to help alleviate the financial challenges that often hinder students from pursuing their academic dreams. This scholarship is open to students at various educational levels, including high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students, encouraging a wide range of applicants to seize this opportunity.

Who Can Apply?

• Eligible Countries: China
• Acceptable Course or Subjects: Students pursuing greatness across all professions and industries are welcome to apply.
• Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
• Applicants must be permitted to study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable legally:
• For study in the USA: The applicant has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S. or is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder).
• For study in Canada: The applicant has a valid Canadian study permit.

Application Procedure

• Interested students can apply online through the official scholarship website. The application typically includes submitting relevant documents, such as essays and recommendation letters, that reflect the applicant's achievements and character.
• The selection committee evaluates applications based on academic performance, leadership qualities, and the potential for future success.

What Financial Support is Available?

Scholarships are awarded annually to international students, and DACA students enrolled at schools MPOWER supports. Awards are as the following:

• US$5,000 Grand Prize (x1)
• US$1,500 Runner-Up (x1)
• US$500 Honorable Mention (x2)
