Overview

The Guillaume Dupaix International Master’s Scholarship is a prestigious funding program offered by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Research and Higher Education. This initiative aims to attract talented international students who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Luxembourg.

Who Can Apply?

• Be international students from both EU and non-EU countries.
• Apply for a two-year Master’s program at the University of Luxembourg (programs requiring a mandatory semester or year abroad are not eligible).
• Have excellent academic performance in undergraduate studies.
• Be enrolled full-time.
• Not receive Luxembourg’s State Financial Aid for Higher Education.
• Be a third-country national applicant.

Application Procedure

Step 1: Apply for a Master’s Program

• Review the admission requirements for your chosen Master’s program.
• Submit your Master’s application through the University of Luxembourg’s online portal: www.uni.lu

Step 2: Master’s Application Review

• If your application meets the required academic excellence criteria, you will receive an invitation to apply for the Guillaume Dupaix Scholarship separately.
• The scholarship application link will be included in the notification email.

Step 3: Scholarship Application

• Submit the online scholarship application form.
• Attach a personal statement explaining your motivations and strengths.
• Provide two academic recommendation letters.

What Financial Support is Available?

• Stipend: €10,000 per academic year (for up to two years).
• Housing Support: A portion of the scholarship covers accommodation in a university residence, up to €650/month.
• The remaining funds are paid in instalments at the beginning of each semester.
• The scholarship is performance-based and may be withheld in cases of academic misconduct, poor academic progress, or program withdrawal.
• Tuition fees are not covered.
• Cannot be combined with other Luxembourg government or private sponsor scholarships.

Other Details

Housing Information

• Part of the scholarship is allocated for student accommodation.
• The student must arrange housing independently and follow the accommodation application deadlines.
• The scholarship does not cover the security deposit or insurance.

Scholarship Agreement

Upon arrival at the University of Luxembourg in September 2024, recipients will sign a Scholarship Agreement, including a Declaration of Honour, confirming their acceptance of the Guillaume Dupaix International Master’s Scholarship terms and conditions.
