The Erasmus Mundus Master in Biomedical Engineering (EMMBIOME) is a comprehensive two-year program designed to provide you with the academic and research expertise essential for thriving in the evolving field of biomedical engineering. The program delves into advanced topics, equipping you with specialized knowledge that prepares you for impactful careers in both academia and industry.
This international program is a result of a strong partnership between three prestigious universities: the University of Kragujevac in Serbia, the University of Patras in Greece, and the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania. This collaborative approach offers students the chance to engage with a variety of perspectives, ideas, and innovations, creating a dynamic learning environment that fosters the development of their full potential.
The scholarship covers the following expenses:
The student’s participation costs, including tuition fees, library and laboratory fees, as well as any other compulsory expenses related to the Master's program.
A monthly allowance of 1400 EUR to cover living expenses, student travel, and accommodation throughout the 2-year duration of the program.

Sophia was drawn to the EMMBIOME program because of its multidisciplinary approach, combining cutting-edge biomedical engineering with practical research opportunities. During her studies, she spent time at the University of Kragujevac, where she worked on several projects involving the design of medical devices for diagnostic imaging.
After completing her Master's degree, Sophia joined a renowned medical device company in Germany, focusing on the development of new imaging technologies. Luca – PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering

For Luca, the EMMBIOME program was a stepping stone to further academic pursuits. Luca’s passion for medical robotics grew during his second year at the University of Patras, where he had the chance to collaborate on research involving robotic-assisted surgery.
After completing his Master's, Luca decided to pursue a PhD at a prestigious university in the UK, focusing on advancements in surgical robotics. The program's rigorous academic structure and the opportunity to collaborate with leading researchers were key factors in his decision to continue his studies and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in the field.
Elena – Biomedical Engineer at a Health-Tech Startup

Elena’s experience in the EMMBIOME program gave her the expertise to thrive in the rapidly growing health-tech industry.
