Overview

The Edinburgh Futures Institute is delighted to announce the opening of applications for its Visiting Fellowship programme for the 2025/26 academic year. This vibrant academic setting offers fellows the opportunity to engage with other visiting scholars, researchers affiliated with the Institute, business and third-sector partners, as well as students. Fellows will have the chance to participate in seminars, events, and training courses, ensuring a deeply enriching and collaborative experience.

Visits are expected to last 3-6 months, and must take place within an academic semester. Successful applicants will be expected to make a contribution to the local research community, through guest lectures or seminars, collaborating on grant proposals, or contributing to teaching. 

Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

The fellowship duration ranges from three to six months, with the opportunity to participate in either Semester 1 (September 2025 – February 2026) or Semester 2 (January 2026 – June 2026).
