The World Bank Internship Program 2025 offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of global development. Open to undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students, this prestigious program enables participants to work on real-world projects while contributing to the World Bank’s mission of reducing poverty and promoting sustainable growth. Based in Washington, D.C., with placements available worldwide, the program is an ideal stepping stone for a career in international development.
Along with exceptional professional development opportunities, interns are compensated with an hourly wage. Additionally, the World Bank (WB) may provide a travel allowance of up to USD 3,000, subject to the manager's discretion. This allowance is limited to transportation costs, such as airfare, to and from the duty station city. Interns are expected to arrange and cover their own accommodation. While most internship positions are located in Washington, D.C., some opportunities are available at WB country offices, depending on business needs.
You will be notified by the end of March 2025 if you will be invited for an interview. Selections will be made in April 2025 and the new group of interns start early May 2025. The internship period is from May to August.
