Overview

Université Paris-Saclay strives to enhance access to its Master’s programmes for international students through its faculties, affiliated institutions, and partner universities. The initiative is designed to facilitate the enrollment of highly-qualified international candidates, particularly those aiming to pursue academic research up to the doctoral level.

The scholarships, offered for the 2025-2026 academic year, are funded by the IDEX initiative under the 3rd Programme Investissements d’Avenir. They are awarded based on academic merit to students admitted to a Master’s programme at Université Paris-Saclay. Eligible programmes are delivered by institutions such as AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay), INSTN-CEA, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), Université Évry Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay), and Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ).

Scholarships are granted for one or two years, depending on the student’s entry level (M1 or M2), and are contingent upon completing the necessary credits to advance to the next year of study.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

• Admission to a Master’s programme at Paris-Saclay University, delivered by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, Université Évry Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay, or UVSQ.
• First-time international students studying in France.
• Students aged 30 or younger in the year of selection.

However, the following students are also eligible:

• Foreign students living in France for less than a year and enrolled in non-degree training or internships.
• Foreign students in France for less than a year, enrolled in language courses (e.g., "FLE" courses).
• Students who previously lived in France through a mobility programme (e.g., Erasmus Mundus or exchange programmes) that did not result in a degree from the French higher education system.

Application Procedure

1. Pre-selection: Students admitted to eligible Master’s programmes may receive an email invitation to apply.
2. Online Application: Complete the form and nominate two referees for recommendations.
3. Submission Deadlines:
   • Scholarship Application: 9 May 2025
   • Recommendations Submission: 12 May 2025

What Financial Support is Available?

1. Financial Assistance: €10,000 per year, paid over 10 months (September to June).
2. Travel and Visa Support: Up to €1,000 for travel and visa expenses, depending on the student’s country of origin.

Other Details

Students who meet any of the following conditions are not eligible:

• Students currently enrolled in or who have previously attended a French higher education institution, unless they are international students enrolled in a French institution abroad.
• Students who have interrupted their studies for over 3 consecutive years.
• Students receiving other funding exceeding €600 per month.
