1. Dr. Emily Rivera – Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Alumna

Fellowship Journey:
Dr. Rivera joined the EIS program after completing her residency in internal medicine. She worked on high-stakes projects, including investigating outbreaks of Legionnaires' disease and monitoring public health emergencies like the Zika virus outbreak.

Impact and Career Progression:
Her EIS experience sharpened her epidemiological skills and gave her hands-on exposure to outbreak responses. Today, she serves as a state epidemiologist, where she leads disease surveillance efforts and mentors the next generation of public health professionals.


2. Jake Thompson – Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) Alumnus

Fellowship Journey:
Jake, a recent public health graduate, joined PHAP and was placed with a local health department. He focused on HIV/AIDS prevention programs, conducting community education sessions, and managing data for grant reporting.

Impact and Career Progression:

3. Dr. Anjali Desai – Preventive Medicine Residency and Fellowship (PMR/F) Alumna
