Overview

The UNICEF Internship Programme is a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates worldwide to gain invaluable experience in the humanitarian sector. This prestigious programme allows individuals to work closely with UNICEF, contributing to meaningful projects that make a global impact.

Interning with UNICEF provides participants with experiential learning that supports their academic, professional, and personal growth. As an intern, you’ll have the chance to develop hands-on skills while working on impactful initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children and families around the world.  Internships last between 6 to 26 weeks, on either a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the role and location.

Who Can Apply?

  1. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  2. Education:
    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or PhD programme, OR
    • Graduated within the past two years.
  3. Language Proficiency:
    • Fluency in at least one of UNICEF's working languages: English, French, or Spanish.
    • Proficiency in the office’s working language is also required.
  4. Applicants must not have close family members (parents, siblings) working with UNICEF or within their reporting line of authority.
  5. Demonstrate a strong academic record and passion for humanitarian work.
  6. Professional experience in related fields will be an added advantage.
