The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme offers a unique opportunity for exceptional graduates and professionals, particularly from developing and emerging economies, to pursue fully-funded graduate studies at the prestigious University of Oxford. This transformative programme provides not only financial support but also an intensive leadership development experience, preparing scholars to become tomorrow’s global leaders.
Established in 2015 with generous donations from multiple donors to mark the 95th birthday of Lord Weidenfeld, and later expanded by a significant £9 million donation from André Hoffmann in 2017, the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships are designed to support talented individuals who aspire to contribute to the development of their home countries or the broader international community.
To apply for the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme, candidates must:
Apply to Oxford: Submit a graduate application for study at Oxford University by the relevant deadline (December or January, depending on the course).
Complete the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement: This statement, alongside the graduate application form, must be submitted by the course deadline.
Eligibility Check: Candidates must be successfully admitted to Oxford University before they can be considered for the scholarship.
Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview in April 2025, as part of the selection process.
College Selection: Successful applicants will be placed at an Oxford college as part of the scholarship, with some colleges contributing additional funding.
