Overview

Uppsala University offers scholarships for international students applying for master's programs. These scholarships are designed to cover tuition fees for students from non-EU/EEA countries. Uppsala University’s scholarships are highly competitive and awarded based on academic excellence. The scholarships aim to attract talented students to study at one of Sweden's top universities, known for its strong research and international collaborations. To be eligible, applicants must have been admitted to a master's program at Uppsala University and demonstrate exceptional academic performance. Scholarships are awarded for one year and are renewable based on academic progress.

Who Can Apply?

• Applicants must be citizens of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
• To be eligible, candidates must demonstrate strong academic abilities and a genuine interest in engaging with the educational environment.
• The IPK scholarship will only be awarded if the applicant selects a program at Uppsala University as their first choice.
• Applicants must meet the program's entrance requirements, and all application fees and supporting documents must be submitted to University Admissions by the deadline.
• The program must be conducted on campus; this scholarship is not available for distance learning or programs partially taught at universities outside of Sweden.

Application Procedure

• To apply for the Uppsala University scholarship, you must first submit an application for a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at Uppsala University via universityadmissions.se between 18 October 2024 and 10 January 2025. The program you apply for must be ranked as your first choice. The scholarship application period will begin after this step.
• To apply for the scholarship, you will need to complete an online application form during the scholarship application period, from 10–22 January 2025.

Note:

• The supporting documents you submit for your program application at universityadmissions.se will also be reviewed for the scholarship, so no additional documents are required for the scholarship application.

What Financial Support is Available?

The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for the entire duration of the Master's program. However, it does not include living expenses or other costs associated with studying abroad.
