The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals (SISGP) offers an incredible opportunity for international students to pursue their master’s degree in Sweden. With a strong focus on building a network of leaders committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this scholarship is a part of Sweden’s global initiative to empower change-makers.
To apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), please follow these steps:
Apply for a Master’s Program (17 October 2024 – 16 January 2025)
Apply for a master’s program at universityadmissions.se within the specified timeframe. Only the master’s programs listed as eligible for SISGP are accepted.
Apply for the SI Scholarship (10-28 February 2025)
After completing your master’s program application, you can apply for the SISGP scholarship:

Eligible Countries:
To qualify for the scholarship, you must be a citizen of a country that is eligible for the program. The following countries are eligible to apply for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals:
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Belarus, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Moldova, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Work Experience:
You must have at least 3,000 hours of verifiable work experience.
Leadership Experience:
You should have proven leadership experience from your current or past employment.
University Admissions:
You must be required to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities, have completed the university admission process, and be admitted to one of the eligible master’s programs by 3 April 2025.
Country of Citizenship:
You must be a citizen of an eligible country as per the scholarship program.
Dual Citizenship:
If you hold dual citizenships, both of which are eligible for the SI scholarship, you must select only one citizenship when applying. You can apply for only one SI scholarship program. If you apply for more than one using different citizenships, your application will be disqualified.
Master’s Programs:
The master’s programs you apply to must be eligible for SI scholarships.
