Begin your academic journey in the UK with great news! The B.A. Krukoff Fellowship in Systematics is now open for applications.

The B.A. Krukoff Fellowship 2024-2025 in Systematics is a fully funded master's scholarship for international students at Queen Mary University. This scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides up to £21,000 for maintenance and travel expenses.

Funded by the Bentham-Moxon Trust B.A. Krukoff Fund, this fellowship supports students focusing their MSc research project on Tropical African botany. The bursary will be administered by the Royal Botanic Gardens (RBG) Kew.

Who Can Apply?

• Must have received an offer of admission to the Kew/QMUL Plant and Fungal Taxonomy, Diversity, and Conservation MSc programme for the upcoming academic year. Applicants with a conditional offer are also eligible to apply, but if selected for the bursary, they must meet all conditions by 31 August 2024.
• Demonstrate experience in Tropical African botany.
• Show how they plan to continue contributing to Tropical African Botany and make an impact after completing the course.

Application Procedure

To apply for the B.A. Krukoff Fellowship, please follow these instructions:

• Enter all the required information as requested in the application form.
• You will be asked to submit supporting documents such as your degree transcript, referee details, statement of purpose, CV, and English language certificate. For more details on the required documents, visit the provided link.
• Once your application is complete and all necessary documents are included, it will be reviewed by the Admissions Tutors. You will receive the decision on your application within four weeks after submission.

What Financial Support is Available?

• The total value of the student bursary is up to £21,000.
• £18,000 is for the monthly stipend which covers accommodation allowance, subsistence, daily travel allowance and costs associated with the Madagascar fieldtrip.
• For students based outside London, up to £3,000 is reserved for the costs of their visa application, the UK Healthcare surcharge fee and travel to and from their home town/country at the beginning and end of the course.
• The relevant tuition fees will be covered in addition to the bursary value.
