Dr. Sarah Williams, a former Raydon Graduate Research Scholar, had a vision to make a meaningful impact on social policy in Australia. Her research focused on the intersection of mental health services and social inequality. With the support of the Raydon Scholarship, she was able to dedicate her time to this important work without worrying about financial constraints.

“The scholarship allowed me to focus entirely on my research, which ultimately led to publishing my findings in several academic journals. Today, my work influences mental health policy at both state and national levels in Australia,” Dr. Williams shares.

As a graduate of Monash’s Law Faculty, Dr. Ahmad Nasr used the Raydon Graduate Research Scholarship to pursue groundbreaking research in international humanitarian law. His research explored the protection of refugees under international law, particularly in conflict zones.

“The Raydon Scholarship gave me the financial freedom to immerse myself fully in my research. It was during my time at Monash that I developed a framework for international refugee protection, which has since been adopted by several humanitarian organizations,” Dr. Nasr says.
