Overview

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) provide an exceptional opportunity to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in a low- or middle-income Commonwealth country. These scholarships are designed for students dedicated to making a positive impact in their communities. They offer a transformative chance to immerse yourself in a new culture, expand your perspective, and build lifelong global connections.

By fostering cultural exchange and academic collaboration, QECS scholars contribute to addressing shared challenges in their home and host countries. As active members of the Commonwealth network, scholars play a pivotal role in shaping its future.

The QECS application process occurs twice annually: Cycle 1 opens in November/December, and Cycle 2 opens in March/April. While you only need to submit one application per cycle, you can reapply in a subsequent cycle if you wish to study in another country.
