Overview

The Imperial College President’s Undergraduate Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship aimed at recognizing and rewarding exceptional academic achievement. Over the past decade, Imperial has awarded more than 750 of these scholarships, with up to 50 scholarships awarded annually for students entering their undergraduate programs. This scholarship is open to students of all nationalities and is available across a wide range of undergraduate programs.

Who Can Apply?

  1. Students of any nationality are eligible.
  2. Demonstrate the highest level of academic achievement and potential.
  3. Submit proof of proficiency in English with the following scores:
    • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any element.
    • PTE: Minimum score of 62, with no less than 56 in any element.
  4. Applicants must be applying for their first undergraduate program at Imperial College London and must have received an offer by January 8, 2025.
  5. Graduate Entry Medicine applicants are not eligible for this scholarship.

Application Procedure

There is no separate application process for the Imperial College President’s Undergraduate Scholarship. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants need to follow the standard undergraduate admission process:

  1. Submit a UCAS application by November 1, 2024 (for 2025 entry).
  2. Provide academic transcripts and a personal statement (maximum 4000 words).
  3. Submit Letters of Recommendation from teachers, advisors, or professionals who know the student academically.
  4. Provide proof of English language proficiency through IELTS or PTE scores.
  5. References, entrance tests (if applicable), and interviews (if required) will also be considered by academic departments when nominating candidates for the scholarship.

What Financial Support is Available?

Imperial College London awarded 112 scholarships, offering recipients a substantial financial benefit of £1,000 (approximately ₹116,286 or $1,370). Although this scholarship is non-renewable, it provides significant financial relief for incoming students, enabling them to focus on their academic journey without financial constraints.
