Application Procedure

To be considered for the LSE PhD Studentships, you need to submit your complete application for admission to LSE by the relevant deadlines for your department. The department nominations are assessed by a school panel to determine eligibility for the studentships. There is no separate application for funding; it is based on your PhD application.

The deadlines for the 2025 intake vary across departments, with key dates including:

• 1 December 2024 for research programmes in the Law School.
• 18 December 2024 for the Department of Economics and the Department of International Development.
• 15 January 2025 for the first round of PhD Studentships.
• 27 January 2025 for London Arts and Humanities Partnership (LAHP) PhD Scholarships.

What Financial Support is Available?

They cover full tuition fees and provide an annual stipend (for 2024 entry, the stipend is £21,237), ensuring that students can focus fully on their research without financial worries.
