Overview

The Research Ready Program is a unique, transformative opportunity for students passionate about AI. Hosted by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Exeter and supported by the Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (IDSAI). This transformative opportunity allows participants to work on cutting-edge research projects, hone technical skills, and connect with world-class researchers and industry leaders. No prior research experience required. Students interested in postgraduate study will benefit most.

Who Can Apply?

The program is tailored for undergraduate students or those with a bachelor’s degree in fields such as computer science, AI, or related disciplines.

Essential Criteria:

• UK residency and eligibility for UK home fees
• Right to live and work in the UK during the program
• In the penultimate year of undergraduate studies or have completed an undergraduate degree
• Not currently enrolled in or completed a master’s or PhD

Socioeconomic Criteria (at least one required):

• Eligible for free school meals during secondary education
• Residing in areas ranked low in deprivation indices (e.g., IMD, POLAR)
• Experienced care from a local authority
• In receipt of full state support for undergraduate maintenance
