Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the Fairer Future Global Scholarship, all applicants must:

• Have received an offer of study for an undergraduate course at the University of Hull.
• Have not previously studied in the UK at degree level.
• Be classified as an international student for fee paying purposes.
• Not be in receipt of financial sponsorship from a government or commercial sponsorship body.
• Have completed a  Fairer Future Global Scholarship application form.
• Have submitted a reference for the purposes of scholarship selection from a teacher or counsellor from your high school.

Before completing this application form, you must have applied to study an undergraduate degree programme with the University of Hull. 

Please do not proceed with this form unless you have applied for an undergraduate degree programme with the University of Hull, as we will not be able to review your scholarship application otherwise.

What Financial Support is Available?

A 50% tuition fee scholarship for all years of your undergraduate study at the University of Hull is available to 10 successful applicants.

Restrictions

• The scholarship is available only to international students who have received an offer for a full-time, undergraduate degree programme based at the University of Hull. It is valid for the entire duration of the undergraduate study, up to a maximum of three years. The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee reduction and does not cover living expenses.
• Scholarship applications will only be considered once the University of Hull has received the undergraduate application. All applications must be submitted by the deadline of 31 May 2025, at midnight. Scholarships will be awarded only to those who meet the general university, departmental, and programme-specific criteria.
• The quality of the responses on the scholarship application form will be assessed by the International Scholarships Awarding Committee. The application must be the candidate’s own work, without external assistance. No scholarship will be granted if the applicant wishes to defer their entry beyond September 2025/26.
• Applicants must prove they have sufficient funds for living expenses as required by UKVI regulations before a Student Visa certificate can be issued. Only one University of Hull scholarship can be held by an individual.
• Successful applicants will be notified in writing and must respond to the scholarship offer within 72 hours. If no response is received, the scholarship may be offered to another candidate.
