Who Can Apply?

• Open to students from all countries around the world.
• The applicant must be entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college). The scholarships are available to international students studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa).
• Applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as significant involvement in extracurricular activities and community work.
• Applicants who are nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award are not eligible for IMES.
