Overview

The fellowship is a non-degree program that combines academic enrichment, professional development, and cultural exchange. Selected fellows can pursue graduate-level education and collaborate with peers in one of 12 US universities. The program fosters cross-cultural learning, encouraging fellows to bring back valuable insights to their home countries.

Who Can Apply?

• Must belong to one of 131 participating countries, including India, Peru, and Bangladesh.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years of full-time work experience.
• Must be proficient in the English language & attempt TOEFL/IELTS exams to demonstrate the same.

Application Procedure

The application process is country-specific and overseen by the U.S. Embassy or a Binational Fulbright Commission.

1. Submit Required Documents:

   • Completed application form.
   • Two recommendation letters (including one from the current employer).
   • Employer endorsement form.

   Indian applicants must email their documents to humphrey@usief.org.in and mail physical copies to:
   Senior Program Officer, Indian Program, USIEF, Fulbright House, New Delhi.

What Financial Support is Available?

The fellowship covers almost all the expenses of the selected candidates:

• Air travel
• Tuition & fees & Book allowance
• Pre-academic English language training
• Monthly living allowance
• One-time settling-in stipend for student housing in USA
• Sickness and accident coverage
• One-time subsidy for computer
