Overview

The Neufert-Foundation provides scholarships to international students aiming to study Master’s degrees in Architecture, Urban Development, and Landscaping. The scholarship is designed to support those who want to further their education at international universities and institutions, especially those who seek exposure to different architectural environments.

Who Can Apply?

• Good command of English and a minimum of B2 level proficiency in German.
• Open to students from all countries. The foundation prioritizes women, students from non-academic or migrant backgrounds, the socially needy, and individuals with disabilities.
• Master’s Students: Must be enrolled in a state-recognized German university by the time the scholarship begins.
• PhD Students: Must be accepted at a German university.

Application Procedure

• Applicants must complete the online application form available on the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung website.
• You will need to create an account and upload required documents including academic transcripts, proof of enrollment or admission, language proficiency certificates, and a statement of motivation.
• Submit the application.

What Financial Support is Available?

For Master's students: The basic monthly scholarship amounts to 850€, with an additional lump sum of 20€. Students may also receive up to 86€ in health and nursing insurance subsidies.

For PhD students: The doctoral scholarship is mostly income-independent, offering 1350€ per month. Additionally, students receive a 100€ lump sum to cover research expenses, along with further health insurance subsidies. Scholarships may also include funding for international stays related to research or conferences.
