The Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship is a prestigious scholarship program designed for talented Indian students. This fellowship provides comprehensive financial assistance for those looking to pursue their MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB).

The Stanford Reliance Dhirubhai Fellowship was established through a partnership between Stanford University and Reliance Industries Limited. The fellowship targets students who are aspiring to gain a world-class education but may lack financial support. Each year, up to five exceptional Indian students are awarded this fellowship.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for this fellowship program, candidates must meet the admission requirements of the Stanford MBA program.

• Bachelor’s degree(in any field that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree)
• Submit GRE/ GMAT and IELTS/ PTE/ TOEFL scores. The minimum score requirements for the same are:
  • TOEFL-iBT: 100
  • IELTS: 7.0
  • PTE: 68
• Submit letters of recommendation and statement of purpose
• Optional questions (200 words)
• Work experience (optional)
• Resume

Application Procedure

• Mark sheets showing educational performance in class 10th, 12th, and graduation
• Essay of 250-Words (on a given topic)
• Resume or Curriculum Vitae(CV) [Should be of one-page]
• Awards, Certificates, and Recognition (both academic and social)
• Employment history (years of experience, name of the organization, and type of work)
• GMAT/ GRE Official Scores
• Financial and tax-related documents
• Family income (annual)
• Official transcripts
• Letter of recommendation: Applicants are supposed to submit two LORs highlighting their professional careers.

What Financial Support is Available?

• Covers full tuition, fees, and living expenses for the two-year MBA program.
• The average Stanford GSB fellowship for the class of 2024 was approximately $47,000 per year or $94,000 in total awards.

Your Financial Contribution

Once you have been admitted, we calculate an expected student contribution based on your particular financial situation. We provide aid to U.S. citizens and permanent residents as well as to international students who have demonstrated need.

All students are expected to contribute a portion of their income and assets to funding their Stanford MBA. Students are encouraged to repay consumer debt before applying for financial aid at Stanford GSB. The difference between the cost of attendance and the expected student contribution is then covered by a combination of fellowships and loans. Stanford GSB fellowships will be awarded based solely on your demonstrated financial need.
