The University of South Australia (UniSA) offers a range of scholarships to support talented international students pursuing research degrees. These scholarships provide financial assistance, academic recognition, and opportunities for students to thrive in a research-rich environment. 

The University of South Australia offers the following scholarships to international applicants:

1. Research Training Program International (RTPi) Scholarships

2. Enterprise Research Scholarships (ERS)

3. International Research Tuition Scholarships (IRTS)

Who Can Apply?

• Newly admitted international students pursuing research degrees.
• Possess exceptional academic qualifications and proven research skills, as evaluated by UniSA.
• Must have the support of a robust supervisory panel (including an end-user adviser, if applicable) and be engaged in a research-intensive environment.
• Should either hold or be awarded a fully externally funded stipend scholarship or receive a living allowance supported by external funding.

Application Procedure

1. No Separate Application Needed: For most scholarships, eligible students are automatically assessed during the admissions process.
2. Program-Specific Scholarships: Some scholarships require a separate application, which should be submitted before the specified deadline.
3. Documentation: Ensure all academic transcripts, proof of achievements, and English language proficiency test scores are submitted during admission.

What Financial Support is Available?

• Stipend: $32,500 per annum (2023 rate), paid fortnightly.
• Fee Waiver: Covers tuition fees for up to 4 years for PhD students and up to 2 years for Master of Research students.
• Health Cover: Includes Overseas Student Health Cover with BUPA for student visa holders.
• Thesis Allowance: Additional support for thesis costs.
