Overview

The OCIS Scholarships are designed to support students from the Muslim world and Muslim communities in the UK who are pursuing full-time master's or DPhil courses at the University of Oxford. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and is intended to support those whose studies are derived from or of relevance to the Islamic tradition, or those that benefit the Muslim world.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is open to applicants who are either:

• Ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and from a Muslim community (preference is given to those from financially disadvantaged households).
• Nationals and residents of select countries in Asia and Africa (including Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Palestine, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and many more).

Application Procedure

• Submit your application for graduate study at Oxford by the relevant January deadline (specific to your course).
• Along with your application, you will need to upload the OCIS Supporting Statement and a statement of purpose tailored to your chosen course.
• Applicants must be successful in receiving an offer to their chosen course by the relevant January deadline. Applications that are deferred or placed on a waiting list are not eligible for the scholarship.
• Each course may have additional specific requirements, including standardized test scores (TOEFL/IELTS) and different deadlines.

What Financial Support is Available?

100% of course fees and a grant for living costs (at least £15,285)
