The scholarship supports students from all fields of study, with a special focus on those who plan to engage in long-term non-profit initiatives, preferably in their home countries, after their studies.
The scholarship is awarded to students on the basis of their academic qualifications, personal aptitudes, and social needs. It covers essential living expenses, tuition fees, and even provides accommodation in Berlin for the duration of the study program.
Follow these steps to apply for the SBW Berlin Scholarship:
University Admission: You must have admission, acceptance, or evidence of eligibility to a university in Berlin or Potsdam.
Fill in the Application Form: The application form requires personal and contact information, along with a photograph.
Provide Educational Information: Include details about your current and previous education, including your highest school or university certificates, grade point average, and any relevant work or volunteer experience.
Submit the Required Documents:
Send your completed application along with all supporting documents in German or English to the email address: application@sbw.berlin.
You can expect the final decision on whether you’ve been awarded the scholarship by the beginning of February or August each year.
