Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Arabic Academic Counsellor to join our team onsite at our Kochi office. In this role, you will provide personalized academic counselling services to prospective students, specifically targeting clients from GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries. Proficiency in Arabic is essential, as you will guide Arabic-speaking students and their families through the study abroad process, ensuring a smooth and informed experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Client Counselling:

  • Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with Arabic-speaking students and their families, providing guidance on study abroad opportunities, university selection, and course options.
  • Understand each student's academic background, career goals, and personal preferences to recommend suitable programs and universities.
  • Provide detailed information about application procedures, eligibility criteria, visa requirements, and scholarship opportunities.

Documentation Support:

  • Assist students in preparing and reviewing application documents, including personal statements, SOPs, and resumes.
  • Ensure that all application requirements are met and that documentation is accurately completed and submitted on time.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to address their queries and concerns promptly.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with students and parents, ensuring a positive and supportive experience throughout the counselling process.

Language Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Arabic-speaking clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Translate and interpret information as needed to facilitate understanding between students, families, and the company.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including admissions, marketing, and visa support, to provide comprehensive services to clients.
  • Prepare regular reports on student progress, application status, and client feedback for management review.

Cultural Sensitivity:

  • Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity when interacting with clients from GCC countries, understanding their unique needs and expectations.
  • Provide insights to the team on cultural preferences and trends to better serve the GCC market.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counselling, or international studies is preferred.
  • Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Previous experience as an academic counsellor or in a similar advisory role is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the study abroad process, including application requirements and visa procedures.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Cultural understanding of GCC countries and their educational landscape.
