About the Programme

This unique online Master’s programme is designed for individuals who aspire to become skilled human rights practitioners. About the Scholarship

These scholarships are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) through the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships scheme. The initiative aims to support talented and driven individuals who, for financial or other reasons, are unable to study in the UK.

For 2025, the scholarship prioritises applicants from Low and Middle-Income Commonwealth countries, focusing on providing specialist training and development through remote education.


Who Can Apply?

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Already hold an offer to study the MA in Human Rights by distance learning.

  • Be from an eligible Low or Middle-Income Commonwealth country.

  • Be unable to study in the UK due to financial or other constraints.

Note: You are advised to apply to the MA programme by 9 May 2025 to ensure enough time to secure an offer before the scholarship deadline.


Application Process

Once you have your admission offer:

  1. Head to the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships portal.

  2. Complete your scholarship application by the deadline: 20 May 2025.

  3. Follow any further instructions provided in the application portal or by the Institute.
