The Bayer Foundation offers fellowships across diverse areas:
Drug Discovery Sciences: For MSc or PhD students in pharmacy, natural sciences, or data science, focusing on pharma and consumer healthcare innovation.
Agricultural Sciences: Open to master’s and PhD students in relevant sciences (including data science) tied to the Crop Science industry.
Medical Sciences: For students in human or veterinary medicine or fields like medical engineering and public health.
Climate and Health: Ideal for those researching public health, women’s health, respiratory or tropical diseases, especially within vulnerable populations.
Up to €10,000 in funding for six months
International exposure for students enrolled in German and non-German universities
Support for research projects, internships, or study visits
Open to students from any nationality with a strong commitment to scientific innovation
Can be combined with other scholarships or grants
Open to Master’s, PhD, and medical students (no undergraduates or postdocs)
Students outside Germany must complete their placements within Germany
Students studying in Germany will undertake their fellowship abroad
Applicants must:
Be at least 18 years old
Be fluent in English
Show a strong academic and research interest in one of the eligible areas
