About the Scholarship

The Think Big Postgraduate Awards are designed to support talented and driven international students by reducing the financial burden of studying abroad. These scholarships are tuition fee waivers and are available in the following amounts:

£13,000
£26,000

The awarded amount will be deducted directly from your tuition fees for your course duration. Please note, no cash alternative is provided.

What’s New for 2025?

In addition to tuition waivers, eligible postgraduate students may also receive a bursary of up to £3,000 in their first year of study. This bursary is a one-time payment made directly to the student’s UK bank account after full registration at the university.

Furthermore, selected students can apply for the Think Big Career Accelerator, an exclusive career-focused programme that includes the £3,000 bursary and helps students enhance employability after graduation.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible to apply for the Think Big Postgraduate Scholarship if you:

Have applied for an eligible one-year, full-time taught master’s programme, or one of the eligible two-year postgraduate courses (MSc Social Work or MA Law).
Plan to begin your studies in September 2025.
Are classed as an international student for tuition fee purposes.
Are not already receiving another scholarship or funding that covers the full tuition fee.
Meet or exceed the entry requirements of your chosen programme at the University of Bristol.

You don’t need to have received an offer of admission before applying for this scholarship.

How the Funding Works

The scholarship amount is directly applied to your tuition fees.
If awarded, this discount is only valid for the years spent studying at the University of Bristol (e.g., it won’t apply during study abroad or industry placements).
Bursaries, if granted, are one-time payments given in the first year only, and require a UK bank account for disbursal.

Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted by 10:00 AM (UK time) on Wednesday, 23 April 2025.
