The ACU Gender Grants provide funding to universities to support initiatives aimed at enhancing gender equity and equality on campus. These grants enable institutions to implement impactful projects, workshops, and policies that foster inclusive academic environments.

The grants are awarded annually to ACU member universities to support a variety of initiatives, including:
Encouraging women in leadership roles
Raising awareness of sexual harassment and developing anti-sexual harassment programs
Supporting women in science and research
Establishing effective institutional policies
Integrating gender equity into academic curricula
Covering costs for projects that promote gender equality
In collaboration with the Martha Farrell Foundation, up to three of the five available grants will focus on developing anti-sexual harassment policies and strategies. These grants, available to staff from ACU member universities in Africa and Asia, include online training and follow-up support from the Foundation’s experts in tackling sexual harassment.

Funding amount: Up to GBP 2,000 per grant
