The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and McDonald’s are committed to supporting students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through the Black & Positively Golden® (B&PG) Scholarship Program. This initiative provides financial assistance to outstanding scholars, ensuring they have the resources needed to pursue higher education and succeed in their academic journeys.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, 63 scholars will be selected to receive scholarships of up to $15,000 ($7,500 per semester). These funds can only be applied to verifiable educational expenses, including tuition and standard academic fees.
Since partnering with TMCF in 2021, McDonald’s has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing education in Black communities. The B&PG Scholarship Program is part of this ongoing effort, providing both financial assistance and mental health support to HBCU students.
Beyond financial aid, scholars will also receive a subscription to Alkeme, a Black-owned mental health app. This platform offers an extensive library of wellness resources curated by Black mental health professionals, helping students maintain their well-being while excelling academically.
