Explore Canada’s Heritage with the Discover Canada Exchange Program

The Discover Canada – Cultural Exchange Program is designed to showcase Canada’s rich history and vibrant modern culture on a global scale. The initiative aims to position Canada as a dynamic cultural hub while promoting its heritage and values internationally. Participants will act as cultural ambassadors, fostering global citizenship and intercultural understanding. Through this program, individuals will gain deeper insights into Canada’s cultural legacy while sharing their own backgrounds, promoting cross-cultural dialogue and mutual appreciation.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Active Social Media Presence: Applicants must be active on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The quality and reach of their content will be assessed.
English Proficiency: Strong communication skills in English are required.
Travel Experience: Preference will be given to individuals with prior international or domestic travel experience.
Leadership & Public Engagement: Previous involvement in leadership roles or public activities will be considered an asset.
Cultural Interest: Experience in attending museums, cultural events, and an interest in Canadian and global cultures will be advantageous.

Program Inclusions & Exclusions

Included:

Accommodation
Three meals per day
Museum entrance tickets
Transportation during the program

The program will select 25 participants, each receiving the above-listed benefits. Additionally, one participant will win a CAD 1,500 Apple Store gift card, along with the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in Canadian culture.

Excluded:

Travel expenses to and from Canada

Note: Full visa support will be provided, including an official invitation letter for selected participants.

Program Itinerary

Day 1 – Toronto

Arrival in Toronto
Orientation session
Guided city tour, covering landmarks such as CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, and Distillery District

Day 2 – Montreal

Guided tour of Old Montreal and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
City exploration of major landmarks
Interactive seminars on Canadian art and culture

Day 3 – Ottawa

Tour of Parliament Hill and the National Gallery of Canada
Visit to the Canadian Museum of History
Interactive session with Canadian cultural experts

Day 4 – Hamilton & Niagara Falls

Visit the Art Gallery of Hamilton
Explore natural attractions, including Royal Botanical Gardens and Webster’s Falls
Participate in cultural workshops and interactive sessions
Day trip to Niagara Falls, including a boat tour and guided exploration

Day 5 – Toronto

Farewell dinner and cultural exchange night

Application Fee

The application fee for the Discover Canada – Cultural Exchange Program is 46 USD.
