Internet Society’s Mid Career Fellowship: Empowering Digital Leaders

The Internet Society’s Mid Career Fellowship is a prestigious seven-month program designed to equip mid-career professionals with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to navigate the complexities of the digital world. Running from June to December 2025, this fellowship provides 15 selected professionals with access to world-class educational institutions, expert mentorship, and a structured learning experience.


Program Structure and Curriculum

Fellows will participate in five structured modules featuring live lectures, assessments, and a concluding symposium to showcase their learnings. The curriculum focuses on key areas such as:

  • Internet Critical Properties and Enablers

  • Digital Transformation and Key Internet Issues

  • Digital Futures and Strategic Foresight

  • Systems and Design Thinking

  • Leadership and Decision-Making

Additionally, seminars will explore contemporary topics like digital geopolitics, leadership in uncertain environments (VUCA), and advocacy and communication strategies to enhance participants’ leadership capabilities in the digital space.


Who Should Apply?

The Mid Career Fellowship is ideal for professionals in leadership roles within the Internet ecosystem, including those working in technical, policy, economic, or social sectors. Suitable candidates should:

  • Have at least 10 years of relevant experience, including leadership or management roles.

  • Be actively involved in digital transformation or addressing digital challenges within their organizations.

  • Be committed to solving complex problems and working in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Advocate for an open, secure, and globally connected Internet.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must also ensure:

  • Reliable broadband access and necessary digital devices.

  • Availability to commit six hours per week for the seven-month duration.

  • Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
