  • Must hold an Offer, Conditional Offer, Accept, or Conditional Accept status for a program at UCD.

  • Must be classified as a Non-EU student for tuition fee purposes and be self-funded.

  • Must be applying for a full-time master’s program, excluding programs from the Smurfit Business School, clinical programs, joint programs, or online courses.

  • Must be a citizen or permanent resident of an eligible country.


Terms and Conditions

Beyond meeting the eligibility criteria, students awarded the scholarship must adhere to specific terms and conditions, including:

  • Maintaining full-time enrollment in the designated master’s program.

  • Participating in UCD open events, serving as part of the Student Ambassador Panel, engaging in podcasts, and providing testimonials about their experience when required.


Application Process

Eligible candidates must submit a separate application for the UCD Global Excellence Graduate Scholarship after applying for admission. The application steps include:

  1. Logging into the UCD online application portal using provided credentials.

  2. Selecting the relevant scholarship category.

  3. Responding to specific application questions (each answer limited to 100 words):

    • Why have you chosen to study at UCD?

    • Why have you selected this particular academic program?

    • What are your future career goals and aspirations?

    • Are you willing to serve as a campus ambassador?

    • How do you plan to finance your remaining expenses?

  4. Submitting the completed application form.

Types of Scholarships Available

The scholarship program offers a limited number of 100% and 50% tuition fee waivers for exceptional international students.

Application Deadlines

  • North America Undergraduate Applications: Closed on 1st February 2025

  • South Asia Graduate Taught Applications: Closed on 28th February 2025

  • All Other Regions: Applications close on 31st March 2025


Result Announcement

Scholarship results are expected to be announced approximately seven weeks after each regional deadline via SISWeb (exact date to be confirmed).
