EquityTech Fellowship 2025: Empowering Entrepreneurs for a Fairer Future

The EquityTech Fellowship 2025, hosted by Halcyon, is an exceptional opportunity for visionary entrepreneurs from the U.S. and across the globe. This program seeks innovators using technology to bridge inequities in education and the workforce. It provides expert guidance, essential resources, and an eight-week immersive residency in Washington, DC, empowering founders to scale their impact.


Focus Areas

The Fellowship supports ventures in two transformative sectors:

  • EdTech: Advancing education through technological innovations that enhance teaching, accessibility, and financial inclusion. Solutions cover K-12, higher education, lifelong learning, and corporate training, integrating cutting-edge tools like AI, data analytics, and immersive tech.

  • Future of Work: Enhancing workforce access and inclusion, helping individuals of all abilities succeed in the job market. Innovations include upskilling and reskilling platforms, workforce analytics, and tools improving workplace collaboration and well-being.


Program Structure

The EquityTech Fellowship is designed for up to eight high-potential ventures worldwide, focusing on key entrepreneurial skills such as product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership. Participants will engage in:

  • A virtual kickoff meeting
  • An eight-week in-person residency in Washington, DC

Important Dates

  • March 4, 2025: Applications open

  • April 18, 2025: Application deadline

  • June 5–6, 2025: Virtual pitch sessions for finalists

  • June 13, 2025: Selected fellows announced

  • September 12, 2025: Virtual program kickoff

  • September 29 – November 21, 2025: Residency in Washington, DC


Eligibility Criteria

This program is open to for-profit startups in EdTech or Future of Work that meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with scalability potential
  • The venture’s founder (CEO or primary decision-maker) must apply
  • Operate the startup full-time
  • Be fluent in English
  • Be at least 21 years old by the program start date
  • Commit to full participation in all program activities
  • Align with one or more of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Selection Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on impact, scalability, innovation, and engagement.
